Runtastic Steps - Pedometer App Reviews

Not happy

Edit: new firmware improve battery life. New app update introduce statistics but only with Gold membership (other offer them for free, so this is a minus for me). Still prefer Jawbone over this one, except water resistance. I bought two Orbits, mainly for the water resistence feature and posibility to change covers. These are the only good parts. Now the bad parts. The Me app is just awful: - showing just some stats that i can see them on Orbit. - No weekly or monthly statistics. - No proactive features to motivate (see Jawbone Up, is great); - Orbit counts driving as steps; in 100 km is showing me 5000 steps; improve move detection; - No integration of sleep tracking with Healthkit. - No estimation of time remaining until next charge or at least a battery percent; - happines tracking?! Where is it? - The Orbit has a light sensor. Great. Doesnt do anything. Not great. - other Runtastic apps are not reading steps or info from Orbit. - no integration with MyFitnessPal. This is a must. MFP is the best solution right now, much better than anything else on the market. Conclusion: just download a free pedometer app from the store, in the end the Orbit and Me are doing the same thing. Really sorry for buying this.

Needs an update.....fast

Im in an ongoing debate with a friend, which is better... Fitbit or Orbit? Based on your last firmware update placing monthly and Annual activity values behind a pay wall, we (Orbit owners) just lost. I still believe that the Orbit is a decent device, however it should enjoy a fuller integration with Myfittnesspal and the ability to access the monthly and Annual data should have been native to the device when it was first released, however to wait 4 months (in my case) for a firmware update that includes what should have been included from day one only to find that its behind a pay wall.... Not cool moreover... disappointing. -------------- I love the Runtastic apps which is why I purchased the Obit tracker and the feature of being water proof made it a no brainer. That being said, this tracker and "ME" to be the hands down winner in fitness trackers its needs to make some improvements. * It need to sync with Myfittness Pal * It should also works with more than just "six pack abs" app * It should work with the Sleep Better App = The information display in the Sleep Better App is more comprenshive than "ME" but the sleep better app doesnt work with the orbit.

Needs another update

I just recently updated the software on my Orbit and since then my orbit does not display the correct mileage or pace. It displays 99:59 for the average pace. The runtastic app seems correct but the Orbit is way off!!

The reason I am getting an I-watch

After using the Runtastic physical components and purchasing Runtastic (the activity tracker app) for 4 months, Ive been gravely disappointed. Features that are free (like seeing long term progress) with other smart watches and activity trackers costs extra with Runtastic. I am counting down the days till my upgrade comes in the mail.

Orbit

The orbit is okay. Its very comfortable to wear. But A lot of false steps from driving (some what fixed with last firmware update). It is okay if you looking at it for the last few days But if you want to look at your history its $4.99 a month or $29.99 for the year. That almost the price of a misfit flash that the app is just as good and free. The jawbone has the best app and its free. I have had the orbit since it was released. Sleep tracking is not useful if you for get to turn it off. It thinks you just had a unrest full sleep and no step counted. Unlike the jawbone where you can adjust the time you woke up and the step are there. And some how the app miss a few random days of data if you dont sync it daily. Even though its the tracker remember up to 7 days of data that you need a gold membership to see past 6 days of tracking.

Hmmm

I like this app as it seems to track your steps better than other apps...but, its been skipping days, (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday etc) its giving the wrong dates, (it said Friday June 13, 2015) & lately its not counting steps. (I was in Vegas & walked 4.5 miles & the app said I walked only 1,345 steps)

Helpful, to a point

$30 a year to get more historical trend data/tracking is ridiculous. This should be free.

Not Accurate

What is the sense of tracking your steps if the app is not accurate? This app is between 15% - 25% off on counting steps. It adds steps in your favor showing you more then you actually do! Pointless app!

fantastic!!

It is a very good App served me much served me much

Simple and easy

Love it!

Stopped working

The app was working ok. I kept losing data from odd days but I could live with that. Now it just wont open or do anything. I have tried reinstalling it but still nothing. Come on Runtastic get this thing going again

Update

The update seems to have broken HealthKit or limited it to syncing only one time and only today. A few days a go I did 17000 steps. I had synced early on in the day at 3000 steps and its never updated again. Another time updated before bed all was fine. When I woke up I synced for yesterday and shows no steps. Good thing I use a garmin vivosmart too

Disappointed

As a member that pays good money for the Runtastic Pro app, I expect better quality. Ever since the last update I can never keep a consistent streak going. Every few days it doesnt track my steps which in turn kills my streak. Please update.

Recent update buggy

The recent update doesnt work very well. Im having sync issues for which I need to force close the app. After I do get it to sync, I need to switch the day then come back to the current day to see my steps. Its also suddenly missing days - I had a 54 day streak going on and suddenly the app decided to lose about 80% of my steps from a day last week which suddenly invalidated my streak. Not happy! Update: So, I re-installed the app. Same issues - my new 5 day streak is back at zero because the app decided to randomly delete my 200% to goal steps from two days ago and it refuses to include any steps taken after about 3:00 yesterday afternoon. Update #2: So, the app was updated but is still showing a bunch of bugs that werent there in older versions - all the update did was fix being able to do multiple updates per day. It still isnt looking back to prior days anymore. For example, I opened the app yesterday before going for a run and it showed I had walked about 2,000 steps. I didnt open the app again until this morning. It is showing a grand total of 2,500 steps - somehow I went for a 4 mile run in 500 steps. The app used to update all days back to the prior sync time - it no longer does that and is now essentially useless.

Worst App Ever!

After latest update the app doesnt count your steps in a consistent daily pattern! The first day I had 1.8 miles but 0 steps! Tried to contact Runtastic on their website & after you take the time to fill out the form it wont let you submit the form!!

This version is a failure

Been with runtastic for over 2 years now and an finally looking at giving up. This version is not stable, wont load, wont update, and destroys what the purpose of syncing it to your phone.

Doesnt work after update

It doesnt work at all after last update. Very disappointed. Now Im not sure if I want Runtastic watch and Orbit any more as Im not sure if Runtastic will work after the next update. Its a pity.

Update = useless

Worked great for a while, no longer functions. Updates should fix things not break them. The app is currently useless. Very disappointed.

Some Issues but overall great app

This is a great app to pair with the Runtastic Orbit and to see how active you are. But this new update has some issues. 2 days ago on the records is always the wrong day of the week. For example, 2 days ago was Thursday, 2/18/2016. The app says it was Wednesday, 2/18/2016. Every day prior is also the wrong day of the week. Its annoying. But everything else is great! Tracks steps, active minutes, calories burnt, distance and sleep!

Statistical data should be free

For getting your own data via this app you need to pay more, disappointed with the app.
