Runtastic Steps - Pedometer App Reviews

Great app when it works

This is awesome when it works. Sometimes, though, it wont count my steps. I can walk for hours on end and itll only log 100 steps. Please fix this so I can use it reliably.

Great ap

I really like this ap. my husband purchased my orbit for my birthday and I have really enjoyed tracking my steps and making sure Im taking the daily amount I should be. This keeps me accountable for staying active while pregnant. I would like to see a way we can compare steps taken over a month or year though.

Good but needs improvement

It doesnt count the steps if my phone is in the purse. I literally have to keep it on my hand for it to count accurately. I really hate that part

Good overall but needs a few tweaks

I like this app overall. But a few changes would make it even better. I find that when I use Runtastic to track my runs, the number of steps I run doesnt show in Runtastic Me. I get credit for time, distance, and calories burned, but not the number of steps I ran. IPlease work on this. I also agree with other reviewers who suggest weekly, monthly and yearly statistics.

use

no info available on what sleep tracker symbols mean. Is slow in syncing and once in awhile just loses all info

twice record

it writes a whole day data at 0:00, cause the healthkit display the twice record, i love runtastic, so please fix it.

Runtastic Me will not open on IPhone 6 Plus

The Runtastic Me app will not open on my iPhone 6 plus. The App tries to Open for an extended period and then closes. The only option that I have is to delete the App and loose all my Orbit data. The tech support on the Website is very poor. I am not happy with this after spending $100 for the orbit. This App needs to be fixed!

Open SesaME

Nov. 24 marked the two-month anniversary of my using the Runtastic Me app along with my Orbit (a welcomed birthday gift). However, something seems to have gone wrong with this latest version of the Me app. It wont open on my iPhone 5s. As a result, I cant track any information, I cant adjust my alarms and, most frustratingly, I cant adjust the time on my Orbit. The latter is an issue because I was traveling through different time zones when the app stopped working. Thus, the time on my Orbit is off, now that Im back home. So for now, download this app with extreme caution.

Almost there

The app still looses data. Usually 2 days back. But theyll show up a day after. There is no site to show the data. No integration with fitnespal If you forget to turn off the sleep mode you lose steps. If done it a few times. And its quite annoying it seems to take a long time to charge. Ive noticed inaccuracy in the step counts. The point of the device. Also no integration with runtastic pedometer in background I wouldnt buy if I had to do over again.

Total Junk

Day one, hit goal on wrist. Sync it up. App took steps off from last sync where it should have added. Battery already at 50% after full charge.

Could do more

This app is still somewhat feature poor. Other activity trackers do more and its not fully integrated into the Runtastic ecosystem.

Needs work

The band itself is 4 starts. The big button is nice but on the other hand its too big and stands out too much. The software is a 2 star. There needs to be a roll up funtion that allows weekly, monthly data roll up. Also could use a computer dashboard feature. Lastly some type of e-mail motiviation set- up would be nice. I use their run app and Im also a memeber of their gold club but the two dont communicate with each other. Seems like a waste.

Patiently waiting for a new release

Love the Orbit itself, and the app has potential, but like tons of other reviewers it should... 1) not lose data and get day of the week and actual date mixed up (i.e. Jan 23 says its Tues) 2) show you a roll up dashboard of your stats by week, month, year. Now all you get is an isolated day view. 3) integrate with My Fitness Pal and all the other Runtastic apps like Pedometer. 4) automatically take you out of sleep mode if you forget based on obvious awake motion. 5) record data more accurately. I woke up today to find that I had burned 1750 calories while sleeping 7 hours. I highly doubt that. 6) communicate to us what improvements youre working on so we dont have to resort to writing a long review like this in the hope youre reading it and already have these on your roadmap! A more direct feedback mechanism would also be nice. I would love to get a personal response on this review directly from Runtastic. Its a really good device and with some improvement could better rival Fitbit.

Day of week bug

Even though you released "bug fixes" your most obvious and easy one to fix is still there...

Ouch

As much as I love the Orbit itself this app is just awful. This latest release no longer shows the steps after syncing and I have to look at the Orbit display as the only way to view my steps.

Sleep Better

It would be good if you could get the data from the Sleep Better.

Not Accurate

Carry my phone with app on and run steps for half hour states 6 min. Would be good if only accurate and reliable.

Fix time and date please

This is a nice pedometer but it would be awesome if you could fix the date and time to match not sure what year it is set up to but its off and if it could tell you how many steps and miles you did in a week from Sunday to Saturday would be nice even all your stats for the week would be good.

Untapped potential!

The Good: 1) Its FREE. 2) Only dashboard app to include data from Runstastic Fitness (Bodyweight) apps. 3) Allows for goal setting. The Bad: 1) 50% of layout is WASTED on user profile picture. This space can be reduced and used for data graphics/ trending. Which leads me to... 2) NO week, month data trending. Which is further aggravated by.... 3) Drops a day before yesterday when scrolling for past data. 4) No sync with Sleep Better app. I understand Me works with Orbit and Sleep Better with iPhone, but it should be the same data regardless of which device is used. Suggestions: 1) Solve the Me (Orbit) vs. Sleep Better (iPhone) disconnect. 2) Add data for Weight and Heart Rate (from Runstastic individual apps respectively). 3) Add capability to add data directly from Me. 4) 4) Syc Sleep data w/ Sleep Better app.

Getting better.....still untapped potential

The firmware update on the Orbit has improved the device so much: better step accuracy and better battery life. It doesnt count as many steps in my car anymore! However the update on the app still lacks some features I would like such as options to adjust the idle notification frequency and have more than 3 alarms. The addition of the recorded data for comparison would be great if a gold membership wasnt required, but I was looking at purchasing the gold membership anyways for the Runtastic website. Keep the updates and improvements coming guys!
